Re: revisiting phenomenology, semiotics, semiology, ontology, semantics with the aid of systems thinking like Alfred North Whitehead, Aleksandr Bogdanov, Gregory Bateson, CS Peirce etc
I’m getting a suite of physical signs. I’ve shared on my pinched nerve which is a yearly thing, I’ve had insomnia prior to keto diet, I’m getting phases of hypertension. I have a hip injury that my physio is dealing with. Subvocalising and accompanying earworm. I reckon there’s loops involved
NDIS are deciding whether they subsidise a CPAP machine for sleep so that’s one potential foundational good thing. My lived experience is an encouragement for me to learn and that helps. Symptomatology falls under semiotics for me. How a group of signs interrelate together, partially or independently is part of my learning. First it was self-regulation, then phenomenological reflection and dialogue, followed by systems thinking – process and relation; then dialectics, synthesis, vanishing mediator, integration and unification.
I’m a poetic interpretant. I don’t necessarily care about causes of a symptomatology. That’s a doctor’s work among other things. I want to be able to treat myself at home if needs be. Know what the actual f*ck is going on.
In it for the outcome: getting better and continuing education
